Phase 1: resources and reminders

Hello PETs Prize Challenge participants,

You are receiving this message if you have signed up for the PETs Prize Challenge. Welcome aboard! See below for a few consolidated notes as the abstract deadline approaches:

Resources

  • Datasets: The Phase 1 datasets for both data tracks are shared through the challenge website. See more information on the Financial Crime (Data Track A) and Pandemic Forecasting (Data Track B) pages. You can access the data once you are registered and signed in from the Data Download page.
  • Info session recordings: Links to the recorded information sessions from earlier this month are available for registered participants. You can find links on the Announcements page (you must be registered and signed in to view).
  • Example baseline models: Code implementing an example centralized baseline model for each data track is also now available through the challenge website. See the zip file on the Data Download page for Track A and the Github link on the Announcements page for Track B.

Deadline reminders

  • September 4th (11:59pm UTC): Registration closes and abstracts are due. Your team must register and submit an abstract by this deadline to participate in Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the challenge*. Submit your abstract through the Abstract Submission tab on the challenge website.
  • September 19th (11:59pm UTC): Concept papers are due. Submit your paper through the Concept Paper Submission tab on the challenge website.

*As a reminder, your team must register and meet all requirements for Phase 1 in order to be eligible for the $55,000 in Phase 1 prizes and $575,000 in Phase 2 prizes.
