Urgent: how many submission time left?

Hi,

“You have 1 of 3 submissions left per 7 days. Your next submission can be on April 2, 2026 UTC.” And it told me 2 of 3 Submissions used. So how many submission time left for me until end of submission?
I remember the start day of last 7 day period is 25-March to 31-March, and I did not do submission since then. Why it show I have used 2 of 3 submissions and only 1 left?

if I do a submission at April 2 how many submission time I will have till end day?

For case 2:

if I do a submission at April 3 how many submission time I will have till end day?

You have total 3 submissions in every 7-day window. So from March 31 to April 6, you will have total 3 subs.

  • If you submitted 2 times on March 31, you only have 1 sub left.
  • If you submitted 1 times on March 31, you only have 2 sub left.
  • If you did not submit on March 31, you have 3 subs left.

The submission limit is calculated based on a rolling window going backwards in time from today at 00:00 UTC. The message tells you that you had two previous submissions within that window. Once the older of those two submissions is more than 7 days ago, then you will regain another available submission.

You can see a more detailed explanation of how it works from this older post from a previous competition. Note that the other competition had a different number of submissions and a different period, but the mechanics work similarly.

Hi Jayqi,

I read the older post from the previous competition - I’m trying to understand if it’s 100% applicable :slight_smile: I have 1 submission (from 1 week, 3 days ago). I’m correct in thinking, “I have only 3 submissions left this week” - right? It’s not that I have 5?

Hi @adengit,

Every competition has a different submission limit and time window over which it applies. This competition allows you 3 submissions over a 7-day window. The submission form for this competition will give you the definitive information of how many submissions you have available. You should not pay attention to the numbers in the previous linked competition’s forum post—that post is only instructive for the mechanics of how the time window works and not for the numbers.

We recently added a new member to our team, and our available submissions have dropped to 0. We’re confused about whether we have any submissions left for the remainder of the contest. Could someone clarify if the competition is effectively over for us? Now we can’t use our best submission which we have prepared together.

Whether you will be able to make any additional submissions before the end of the competition depends on when your team members made submissions and when they fall out of the limit time window, per the description above about how submissions against the limit are calculated.
