Just wondering if anyone has compared the ground truth data to any biomass estimation literature. I understand the ecological differences between forests exist but the ground truth for this competition seems to be in the 0-500 AGB range, which according to their data description is in Mg/0.01ha.
This seems slightly out of range when I downsample the data into ha resolution; I get ranges of 0-14k Mg/ha when most of the literature ranges only up to 400 or 500 Mg/ha? I came up with these numbers by adding all the biomass in the 10m resolution pixels in the 100m^2 tile. It appears to be off by a factor of 100 so is it possible the original data is not in Mg/0.01ha?
