Hello,

Could you kindly clarify the rules and guidelines for publishing a developed solution (excluding any data) in an academic journal or presenting it at a conference?

@dinuja Apologies for the delay in response, we were confirming with the CDC team.

Unfortunately, participants cannot publish or present any work that resulted from the challenge. Any usage outside of submitting to the challenge is not covered by the competition data sharing agreement that provided access to the NVDRS dataset. This is because of the sensitive nature of the competition data.

If you have work you would like to publish, you’ll need to go through a separate data sharing agreement approval process with NVDRS. Information on how to do that can be found here.
