Is average dice score or global dice score used for leadboard?
They are quite different in details. With global one it is more important to predict pixel in cases where mask has a lot of positive pixels. With average one it is more important to concentrate on images with masks that has a few positive pixels.

@dmitryakonovalov Good questions. No, every test image does not have kelp instances. Dice is calculated for every positive pixel in the test set overall, rather than for each image and then averaged.
