How to interpret the "education" variable?

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know how to interpret the different values of the education variable.
There are 4 possibles values:

  • < 12 Years
  • 12 Years
  • College Graduate
  • Some College

Can College graduate and Some college be grouped together?
How many years does it represent?
Which level of education does 12 years represent? High school or PhD (depending on where we start couting)?

These questions might seems silly, but I live in Belgium and the way we count education years might be different :slight_smile: .

My interpretation was:

< 12 -> didn’t finish high school
12 Finish high school
College -> Finish an education degree in a University 2 or 4 Years
Some College -> Start a degree but was not finished or is currently enrolled!
