I know the organizers had to balance many tradeoffs when structuring this competition and I’ve really enjoyed the competition process so far. One possible area of improvement might be to move the final model report due date to a week or more after the final submission is due. I think it would result in higher quality reports. Speaking for myself, I was still making minor changes to my model up until the end and this made it hard to focus on the report and make sure the report was consistent with the final model.
