# Submissions After Competition Close?

Hello,

Will we be able to make submissions after the competition close date? Obviously they would not be considered for the awards, but it would be nice to be able to continue to experiment.

Hi @Brad,

We do turn off submissions at the end of the competition, but we sometimes consider making competitions semi-permanent for learning purposes, like [blood donations](https://www.drivendata.org/competitions/2/) or [water pump predictions](https://www.drivendata.org/competitions/7/).

After this competition wraps up and clearly _ends_, it’s something we can can think about for this one. Thanks for raising the question - it’s a good data point for us.
