# Private and public leaderboard

Hi all,

I assume there is a public and private leaderboard where our scores are calculated. Is the `test_sattelite` all the data we have for which we have to predict? So will a unknown percentage be our public score and another percentage our private score? Or is there a hidden test set left out that we receive near the deadline of the competition.

Hi @hjdeheer - Thanks for the question! Correct, there is a private and public leaderboard. `test_satellite` is all the data for which you need to make predictions. The public score currently displayed on a leaderboard is the score for a subset of those predictions. When the competition concludes, your private score using the rest of the predictions will be revealed and used for final ranking.
