# MODIS notebook fails for other areas

It looks like the MODIS Jupyter example works only for the tile it presents. When I try changing the input lat/lon values to some point in the competition area, it fails. Any ideas how to fix this?

lat = 36.776168226931425  
lon = -118.50784908105172

ds = rxr.open\_rasterio(filename)

[…]  
ValueError: cannot reindex or align along dimension ‘y’ because the index has duplicate values
