# Example submission failed

What I did is pull the image, ‘make pack-example’ and then ‘make test-submission’.

The error says:

The file ‘submission\_format’ not in the runtime?

It sounds like maybe you’ve skipped the step to set up the data directory. Please see [this part of the README](https://github.com/drivendataorg/water-supply-forecast-rodeo-runtime?tab=readme-ov-file#setting-up-the-data-directory).
